Hi Folks,

Well as you can see the site has had a nice little change not only visually but with some new sounds to check out. The two new tracks in the listen section are from a recording session earlier this year with the incredible Ari Hoenig on Drums, Gilad Hekselman on Guitar, Tom Gibbs on Piano and Martin Kershaw on Alto Sax. These are rough mixes but i thought I'd stick a couple excerpts up anyway to see what you all think. Hope you like!

I've just returned from New York where I had the great pleasure to play on the Album of the fantastic guitarist Mark McKnight. It was a really amazing band with Will Vinson on Alto, Mark Ferber on Drums and Sam Yahel on Piano. Keep an eye out for the C.D. next year I think it'll turn out great.

The site is getting updated regularly so keep checking back. I'm working on a lot of new projects for 2009, more info on that to come. Please sign up to the mailing list if you'd like to be kept up to date on future events and hopefully you can make it out to a show sometime.

Sorry I've not been updating my site. I've been very lazy and shall try to do better in future. I hereby promise to update it every week for the rest of the year.

I'm on tour this week with fantastic New York Drummer Ari Hoenig and the incredible Gilad Hekselman on Guitar. These guys are amazing! Tour dates are in the gig section of the site. If you can make it out your in for a real treat.

I will be on tonights edition of the Jazz House on BBC Radio Scotland for an interview and they will be playing a live recording of our performance at this years Glasgow International Jazz Festival. Tune in 8 - 10 or the repeat on Sunday 10 - 12. It's also available through the listen again feature on www.bbc.co.uk

With the Glasgow Jazz Festival just around the corner i'm getting ready for a busy week. My Quintet will be playing at the Homegrown showcase on the 24th of June. I've been working on some new material for this group and i'm really excited about playing it live. The concert will also be recorded for BBC Radio Scotland. I'll let you know airtimes when i find out. Check my itinerary for further gig details and i hope to see you at a show.
